MLB: Blue Jays Acquire Zack Collins

The Jays organization has announced that it has acquired Chicago White Sox wide receiver Zack Collins in exchange for wide receiver Reese McGuire.

The 27-year-old Collins hit 13 doubles and four home runs in addition to producing 26 runs in 78 games last season. Selected 10th overall in the 2016 draft, Collins is six-foot-three and weighs 220 pounds.

In three seasons with the White Sox, he averaged .645 combined base and slugging average. He had 17 doubles, one triple and seven home runs in 114 games.

In the case of McGuire, also 27, he batted .253 with 15 doubles, a home run and 10 RBIs last season. The six-foot, 215-pound athlete was selected 14th overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2013 draft.
