Ventimiglia. Maruska Iamundoathlete of the Judo Club Ventimigliareturns to competitions and does it in the best way by winning another medal at the national level.
In fact Sunday 24 April competed in the national final of the Italian Cup Junior/Senior obtaining a splendid bronze medal. The competition took place at the “PalaPellicone” of Ostia Lido, the “temple” of Italian judo. The athlete was followed in the race by the coach and president of the Judo Club Ventimiglia Antonella Iannucci.
Six matches played in total by Maruska in a tough and fought but also exciting and exciting competition. The athlete from Ventimiglia, after having fought successfully for several years in the 52 kg, returned to the old weight category of 57 kg with which she had obtained her first successes in the national and international categories in the cadet and junior categories. This medal, albeit bronze, has the taste of gold, first of all because it comes after many months of absence from the competitions but then repays the many sacrifices that Maruska makes to reconcile work with training and finally underlines the class and character of the athlete who also on this occasion showed great technique and tactics, fighting with heart, head and great determination.
Ten years after the first medal at the Italian Championships (2012), after having won many even in two different weight categories, being still among the protagonists at national level is truly a great satisfaction, for the athlete, for the technicians and for the company they belong to, demonstrating that commitment, work and love for what you do always reward.
