Anyone who thinks of the ten best Europeans of all time in the NBA immediately thinks of Dirk Nowitzki (43). The Würzburg player played in the best league in the world for 21 years and won the title with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011.
For the 75th anniversary of the NBA, the league is organizing a vote for the best Europeans in its history. Fans can also vote – until April 6th.
Dirk Nowitzki was also asked to vote as part of the election.
He begins his selection with the words: “I’ll leave myself out for a moment…”
Then he names ten names of professionals who have shaped the league: Tony Parker (39/France), Drazen Petrovic (†28/Croatia), Giannis Antetokounmpo (27/Greece), Pau Gasol (41/Spain), Luka Doncic ( 23/Slovenia), Nikola Jokic (27/Serbia), Detlef Schrempf (54/Germany), Peja Stojakovic (44/Serbia), Toni Kukoc (53/Croatia), Arvydas Sabonis (57/Lithuania).
The Wagner brothers Moritz (24) and Franz, who both play for the Orlando Magic, were also asked about their favorites. The first name they can agree on: Dirk Nowitzki.
