A 100% Popov 1/2 final. Toma Junior (32nd in the world) and Christo Popov (60th in the world) will face off tomorrow in the 1/2 final of the Orleans Open badminton (Super 100). It will only be the second official meeting between the two Ditchens brothers. The first was during the final of the French championships at the start of the year, a final won by Christo Popov.
After having eliminated the seed number 1 the Indian Praneeth (19th), Christo confirmed today by dominating in 1/4 the Taiwanese Lee (117th) 16/21 21/18 21/19. Defending champion and seeded number 4, Tomi beat the Singaporean Teh (106th) 21/16 21/15.
