For the first time, the BDE Brigade of STAPS Orléans was mobilized on the occasion of the National Day of Sport and Disability.
In Orléans, sport is at the service of the disability cause throughout the year. The city is home to the Open Paratennis du Loiret, a high-level wheelchair tennis competition. In March, it was the STAPS students who mobilized for this theme of disability on the occasion of the National Day of Sport and Disability, an event organized by ANESTAPS.
Everywhere on the territory, BDE STAPS mobilized within the framework of this 10th edition. On the Orleans side, it was the BDE Brigade of STAPS Orleans who wanted to set up several actions. “We have offered activities in collaboration with our university department of physical and sports activities”explains Marie Bujak, in charge of the social innovation division within the BDE. “Initiations to cecifoot, sitting volleyball and flag rugby have been offered. It was then the turn of badminton with an immobilized arm and climbing blindfolded. »
The SUAPS partner of this day
In collaboration with the SUAPS, Orléans thus participated for the first time in this JNSH. The objective: to raise awareness and introduce adapted sport or disabled sport to as many students as possible through SUAPS slots reorganized for the occasion. The results are good for the BDE, which succeeded in mobilizing and raising awareness from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., mainly on the side of the Halle des Sports.
Very active throughout the year, the BDE Bridage des STAPS Orléans will now plan for the end of the academic year. This Thursday, April 7, the Feria STAPS will notably be there, an event that has become unmissable over the years. The BDE is already looking ahead to next year, with the implementation of several actions, including a renewal of actions on the occasion of the National Day of Sport and Disability.
