PSG can no longer take the championship title in France. The lead over “pursuer” Olympique Marseille is too big. It would be the tenth triumph in Ligue 1, and Paris St-Germain would be awarded a star for it.

According to a report in the French newspaper Le Parisien, the club rejects the star for a strange reason: “The production of the kit for the 2022/23 season has already started and the star has not been added,” it says.
The club does not rule out designing a special edition that includes a small star. However, it should be placed next to the Ligue 1 logo on the sleeve, not on the club crest.
According to the outlet, PSG would only add the star if they win the Champions League. Marseille did the same in 1993.
In addition to Marseille, AS St. Etienne also has a star for ten championships achieved.
