Patrick Cantlay alone at the head of RBC Heritage

A perfect end game allowed Patrick Cantlay to take a clear lead, after two rounds at Hilton Head. In South Carolina, Friday, the American concluded his journey with four birdies, to return to the club house a card of 67 (-4).

The day after a 66 and a 3rd place, the sixth player in the World Golf Ranking was able to accelerate after two costly bogeys on holes 11 and 14. With a 15 greens hit on Friday and a stroke gained putting of +2, the player of Ryder Cup has put itself in position for a first victory in 2022, a week after a disappointing 39th place Masters.

Spieth in ambush

Two strokes behind Cantlay, we find his compatriot Robert Streb. The current 94th in the FedexCup has gained no less than 18 places on the Heritage leaderboard, with a second round of 67. His total of -7 places him alone in second place, one stroke ahead of five pursuers (Dahmen, Young, Tringale , Wise and Van Rooyen).

In 8th place, we find in particular Jordan Spieth who is recovering well from his missed surprise cut in Augusta (69-68, -5). Convincing meanwhile at the Masters, the Chilean Joaquin Niemann, 23, accompanies him with the same total score (65-72).
