Nhut Le, who plays the Judomaster on HBO Max’s Peacemaker, revealed his reaction to seeing himself in the costume for the first time.
While featured in Diversity in Film, TV, Games, Comics: How YOU Can Help! panel at WonderCon 2022, he recounted seeing himself as a Funko! Pop figure to the first time he saw himself in the Judomaster outfit. “It’s very strange,” Le said. “I knew it would come. Just seeing your resemblance like that. I remember the first time we did a 3D scan to make my costume – they [did] a 3D scan of my body, and so as I walked into the costume shop, I saw a life-size version of me dressed in white and posed as an alien and thought, ‘I look much shorter than I thought.’ «

During the same panel, Le revealed that just before he was cast as Peacemaker, he planned to quit acting altogether. “After 10 or 11 years of not getting much traction, I was planning on moving to Philly and doing ceramics full time,” he said. “I’m like, I’ve been at this for so long, sacrificing so many things and so, I was going to move on and then like a week before they offered me Judomaster.” In February 2021, Le was officially announced as a Judomaster in The Suicide Squad spin-off series.
