Throwback to the regional youth championship of the Occitanie league.
It was in Saint-Orens-de-Gameville (31) that the regional youth championship of the Occitanie badminton league took place on Saturday and Sunday. 9 young Lot players were qualified to participate in this qualifying championship for the national youth. Many bronze and silver medals but no gold this time:
– beautiful silver medal for Lucile Reynes (Pradines) in double ladies minimal with her partner Clara Trouche from committee 12.
– Bronze medals:
Malhia Crouzet (Bouriane Badminton) in SD junior and mixed doubles with Clément André (Saint-Céré).
Maëlia Bruneau (Bouriane Badminton) in youngest doubles with Suzanne Py (Comité 12), Lucile Reynes in minimal mixed doubles with Louen Allaire (Saint-Céré), Gaétan André in junior doubles with Romain Calvinho (Comité 31).
Many medals all the same for one of the smallest committee in the Occitanie region, but there is still work to be done to reach the top places in the future.
Congratulations also for Timéo Maruaé and Lison Dajean from Pradines, Clara Foucault from Souillac, who also qualified for this championship and are among the best youngsters in their category.
> Next weekend, place for adults: the Lot committee is organizing a senior tournament this Saturday, April 9, at the Vigan gymnasium. We expect nearly 80 players between 2 p.m. and midnight. Registrations are still open (licensed players only). Sunday April 10, the regional team of Pradines Badminton will play in Montauban the last day of the regional interclubs in order to define the final classification of this season 2021/2022, but we can already say that the team has maintained his place in regional 2 and will do everything to aim for the rise in the upper division next season.
