The road is drawn. In view of the 2024 Paris Olympics, the ISSF has announced the qualification criteria for the Paris Olympics 2024 of target shooting and clay pigeon shooting.

In total they will be 340 places available, in a process of obtaining the various Five Circles cards that will begin next 24 August, with the European clay pigeon shooting in Larnaca (Cyprus), and which will unfold throughout a two-year period of competitions, with the deadline set for 9 June 2024.

L’8 July 2024 then it will be necessary to provide the official formations of each single continent, in view of the start of the Paris Games, set for the 26th of the same month.

The appointments, both for trap and skeet specialists and for pistol and rifle specialists, will therefore be numerous. Not to be missed there will be: the 2022 European skeet shooting (8 passes, 2 for each individual competition), as mentioned, the shooting Europeans (25 / 50m) (8 passes, also here with the same reasoning ), the World Shooting Championships (16 passes, 4 for each individual competition) and target shooting (32 passes, 4 for each individual competition), which for the first time will be held separately in Osjek and Cairo ; without forgetting 2023 and part of 2024.

The path to glory in Five Circles has therefore officially begun.

– Europeans in focus 2022 (25m / 50m), Wroclaw (Poland), 5-18 September: 8 passes to be won, 2 for each individual rifle and pistol competition;
– World Cup 2022, Cairo (Egypt), 12-25 October: 32 passes up for grabs, 4 for each individual rifle and pistol competition;
– Air European Championships 2023 (10m), Tallin (Estonia), 5-15 March: 8 passes to be won, 2 for each individual rifle and pistol competition;
European Games 2023, Krakow (Poland), 21 June-2 July: 4 passes to be won, 1 for each individual rifle and pistol competition;
– World Cup 2023, location to be defined, August 14-31: 32 passes up for grabs, 4 for each individual rifle and pistol competition;
Air European Championships 2024 (10m), Gyor (Hungary), March: 8 passes to be won, 2 for each individual rifle and pistol competition;
