Red Flames shine in first unique shirts, with striking black home copy | Red Flames

High day for the Red Flames. The national women’s team will play against Albania tonight in the race to the World Cup, but also just presented new shirts. For the first time in history, these are unique copies, completely different from the Red Devils. Even the color choice is different.

The Red Flames have become a brand in their own right. The first of the new equipment proves that once again. While in the past they had to play in the derivative of a uniform presented for and by the Red Devils, they now have their own design.

“This is to put the significant development and ambition of women’s football in Belgium in the spotlight”, it sounds in the communication.

To reinforce the statement, black was chosen as the striking base color instead of the traditional red. In addition, there was also a new away kit in ocher yellow with a subtle graphic print and minimalistic bond logo.

Tastes differ, but the design is already receiving a lot of applause on social media. “It’s always fun to play in a new outfit, especially now because it’s a real female outfit,” says captain Tessa Wullaert. And black doesn’t look wrong either.”

The new shirt from clothing sponsor Adidas is made entirely from recycled Parley ocean plastic.

As a tribute to the Red Flames and to the development of women’s football, the Red Devils will also wear the kit once during one of the UEFA Nations League matches in June.
