The municipality will be the protagonist of this event with more than 300 participants from 44 clubs from all the Andalusian provinces. The sporting event will be held this weekend, April 2 and 3, and will qualify for the National Championship that will take place in Pamplona from April 29 to May 1. Tickets are free and the matches can be followed on the Judo Federation’s YouTube channels.
Rincón de la Victoria once again reiterates its commitment to the different sports disciplines by hosting a new Andalusian competition of Children and Cadet Judoas advanced by the Councilor for Sports, Antonio Jose Martin (PP).
The facilities of Rubén Ruzafa Municipal Covered Pavilion will be the stage to celebrate the championship in the coming days April 2 and 3 at 12:00 noon“with more than 300 participants between the ages of 12 and 17 belonging to 44 clubs with representation from all the Andalusian provinces”.
The Mayor of Rincon de la VictoriaFrancisco Salado (PP), has highlighted “the important repercussion that the municipality is acquiring by hosting regional and national sports competitions that place us as a sports venue and city”.
“Collaborating and supporting sporting events in our municipality is a great media projectionand therefore a showcase to attract visitors”, he adds.
The sports director of the Andalusian Federation of Judo in Andalusia, Moises Mayihas highlighted that “it is the second time in a row that Rincón de la Victoria hosts this official judo competition. The Torre de Benagalbón Pavilion has the perfect conditions for its celebration and from the City Council they offer us all the support and collaboration that we need”.
In addition, Mayi has pointed out that “this year two Malagans participate in the children’s category by the ONCE Foundation who compete under the same conditions as the rest of the players.”
The Andalusian Junior and Cadet Judo Championship in the female and male categories will start at 12:00 noon. On the day of Day 2 they will compete cadetsand in that of day 3the categories of childish. The appointment is qualifying for the national championship to be held in Pamplona from April 29 to May 1.
