The creator of Football Leaks, Rui Pinto, will testify before the collective of judges that is judging him on May 13, said his lawyer, this Friday, at the 46th session of the trial, which takes place in Lisbon.
Francisco Teixeira da Mota told the president of the collective of judges, Margarida Alves, that the defendant wants to speak and is now “analyzing the information on the digital evidence that he was authorized to consult”, explaining that “only recently” Rui Pinto “began to work” on the subject.
The trial of the Football Leaks case resumed this Friday, after a break of almost ten months, with a short session, in which the last two defense witnesses, who could not be contacted, should be heard, and the confrontation of two inspectors from the Judiciary Police (PJ), postponed to April 22.
