The young players in the U12 category, from the Football Club Penne – Saint-Sylvestre (FCPSS) took part from April 16 to 18 in the 41st Easter tournament in Cahors. No less than 60 teams from all over France were present during this competition, including 13 teams representing professional clubs such as AS Monaco and RC Lens. The FCPSS was well represented with 2 teams involved. The matches are linked over 3 days with no less than 11 matches played by team. Our “blue and white” don’t give up and carry the club’s colors high. One team finished in 30th place, the other 49th. The tournament took place in a good atmosphere (players and parents). This competition was a repetition with the Madewis Cup which takes place on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 April in Marmande. These young people are engaged in their U11 and U12 categories. The competition will bring together teams from New Aquitaine and Occitanie. Only 2 teams per category will be qualified for the final tournament which will take place in Bordeaux or Lyon. The FCPSS will be well represented, because the young U8 and U9 of the football school will also participate in this tournament for their first time. We wish these teams every success, and do not hesitate to come and encourage them.
