The event is organized by the Municipality of Piacenza thanks to the tender “Piacenza starts with culture” in collaboration with the “Musiche Pari” project. The Councilor for Culture Jonathan Papamarenghi explains: “This concert will make us experience the intense and exciting atmosphere of the music in an unusual setting, the eighteenth-century church of San Raimondo, which many of us pass by every day, along Corso Vittorio Emanuele, but which probably many people have never entered. Culture therefore opens the doors to another historically important place in the city, making us at the same time know and appreciate the artistic skills and passion of a group that, a few months ago, thanks to the contribution of our municipal announcement, presented the new album in which he brought to light the vocal repertoire of Father Davide from Bergamo, enhancing the precious commitment of a formation made up of young and talented musicians, directed by Maestro Federico Perotti under the aegis of President Massimo Alberici “. Right in San Raimondo, the Ensemble has the fulcrum of its activity, animating, alongside an intense concert activity, the solemnities of the Benedictine Monastery.

The program on Saturday 30 April will offer, in particular, two Bach cantatas written for Easter: “DerFriede sei mit dir – Peace be with you” (BWV158) and “Christ Lag in TodesBanden – Christ lay in the shroud” ( BWV4). The protagonists of these first part, in addition to the choir directed by Federico Perotti and the instrumental Ensemble “Anima e corpo” directed by Gabriele Pro, will be the solo voices of the soprano Carlotta Colombo, the mezzo soprano Benedetta Mazzetto, the tenor Luca Cervoni and the bass Alessandro Ravasio.

Two splendid compositions will be performed by Antonio Vivaldi: the Symphony at the Holy Sepulcher RV169 and the Concerto for violin and organ in D minor RV541, in which Gabriele Pro on the solo violin and Federico Perotti on the organ will perform.

The orchestra will consist of the first violins Karla Bocaz and Martina De Sensi, the violins II Domenico Scicchitano, Davide Medas and Eleonora Zanne, the viola Francesca Camagni, Giulia Gillio Gianetta on the cello, Alberto Lo Gatto on the double bass and Mattia Marelli on the continuo.
