Softball in mourning, the gringo Sherman passed away this Saturday – Guatemala’s Latest News

This morning the death of the former manager of the national softball team and integral of World Baseball Softball Confederation Hall of FameAndy Sherman.

Andy Sherman, known as the gringo Sherman, came to the country in the 1970s, when he contributed to the team Real society. In addition, years later he held the position of manager of the National Softball Team for just over 10 years.

Sherman contributed to the construction of the first softball gym in Guatemala, in 2016, becoming the first discipline to have its own gym, which is one of the best centers for the care and training of all those who practice this sport in the country. .

In May 2018, Sherman was inducted into the World Baseball Softball Confederation. He unfortunately passed away this morning, due to a disease that had been affecting him for several months.

Asosoft has declared three days of mourning for the death of the former manager, who led the National Team on different occasions and sporting events.
