The call for the National Children’s Judo Championship “Tomoyoshi Yamaguchi” CDMX was published

The Official Announcement of the next National Children’s Judo Championship “Prof. Tomoyoshi Yamaguchi”, which will be selected for the U13 and U15 Pan American Championship, which will be the framework for the start of the Cadet, Junior and Senior Mixed Team Tournament.

The document was published on the social networks of the Mexican Judo Federation (FMJ), as well as that of the Mexico City Judo Association (Judo CDMX), stating that this event will take place from May 19 to 22, 2022, at the “Hermanos Galeana” Sports Gymnasium of the Gustavo A. Madero Mayor’s Office, in CDMX.

The call indicates that the National Children’s Judo Tournament “Prof. Tomoyoshi Yamaguchi” will be for Pre-Infantile practitioners (9 and 10 years old), Infantil Sub 13 (11 to 12 years old) and Infantil Sub 15 (13 and 14 years old), and will have a Selective character for the Pan American Championship Sub 13 and Sub 15, both in the women’s and men’s branches. The type of competition will be Round Robin, up to five competitors, with simple Repechage

In this same framework, it is indicated that what will become the first broadcast of the Tournament for Mixed Teams, Cadet, Junior and Senior will take place.

In the case of Mixed teams, it is indicated that each team will be composed of a minimum of 6 (six) athletes (3 women and 3 men) and has the possibility of having up to 6 (six) reserves (3 women and 3 men) , therefore a total of 12 athletes can be entered with a maximum of two athletes per category.

Likewise, it is noted that during a competition, a team must consist of a minimum of 4 (four) athletes, in addition to which each team can be made up of competitors from different associations.
