Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis plans to return to the team in Friday’s crucial game against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Davis hasn’t played since Feb. 16 due to a foot injury, but his return would come at a time when his team needs him more than ever. The Lakers are only a half-game ahead of the Spurs in the last play-in slot and are 1.5 behind the Pelicans.
This season without the presence of the 29-year-old player, the Lakers have a record of 14 wins and 25 losses, which makes it clear that they have not been able to find alternatives to help supply their production.
Frank Vogel’s side have six games remaining on their schedule and now the goal is to secure a place in the play-in, in what has been a nightmarish season for a team that had big aspirations.
