the Marie-Curie sports complex in Nogent-sur-Oise will become a departmental judo dojo

In Nogent-sur-Oise, an extension of the Marie-Curie sports complex will be carried out in order to fit out a departmental dojo for judo.

The Oise department is going to enlarge the Marie-Curie sports complex in Nogent-sur-Oise to add a departmental dojo dedicated to judo. An extension of 2,740 m² will thus be created by 2023 to accommodate six combat surfaces, bleachers with a capacity of 500 people, an infirmary, changing rooms and offices for the Oise Judo committee. The operation, worth 10 million euros, also includes the renovation of the existing locker rooms, the transformation of the combat room into a warm-up room and the development of a dance room in place of the gymnastic. A storage space and a recovery space will complete the facilities.

With the advent of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the dojo will serve as a training ground for athletes. In the longer term, the new complex will be used as a physical preparation center for the judo teams. It will also become a training center for young people from the Marie-Curie high school within a hope centre. On occasion, the structure will host sporting events of regional, national or international scope.
