The Medals of Sports Merit were awarded

In a festive ceremony, the Municipality carried out the delivery of the 44th edition of the “Justo Román” Sports Merit Medal and, in addition, the “José Luis Campo” Paralympic and Adapted Sports Medal, in which local young people were highlighted for their performance during the year 2021.

In this framework, Mayor Guillermo Montenegro expressed his gratitude to “athletes for the effort they make every day: you, your families, your teams and many people who help, push and are trying to generate this. Also, back there is a city and each one of you is an ambassador of Mar del Plata”.

Immediately afterwards, the communal chief made special emphasis that “this award has nothing to do with what they won, but with everything that transpired to achieve it. That is why it is a pride for us to see when there is an athlete from Mar del Plata competing and above all in the way they have done it, not only for the sporting part, but also for the values they were transmitting in each of the times they had to compete”, he concluded.
