The most difficult, the most affordable or the most unprecedented draw: which possible opponents for the Devils at the World Cup?

It’s a game many of us have been playing for the past few hours: looking at the Worlds 2022 draw hats and trying to figure out who our favorite group would be. We decided to play it too.

The most difficult draw: Germany, Senegal, Canada. In Pot 2, Germany and the Netherlands are the teams to avoid. But the Germans seem a cut above. In hat 3, Senegal, winner of the Can, acts as a scarecrow with its star, Sadio Mané. And Canada is not to be taken lightly in Hat 4.

The most affordable circulation: Croatia, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia. Although Croatia was a finalist in the last World Cup, it has been on the decline since then and stands as the least impressive nation in the second hat. Tunisia and Saudi Arabia are also the most affordable nations in hats 3 and 4.

The most familiar draw: United States, Japan, Wales. Belgium could find themselves in a group made up of usual adversaries, such as the United States (remember the extensions of 2014), Japan (2002 and the remontada of 2018, damn it) and Wales, so often encountered in recent years years (Euro and League of Nations). But Gareth Bale’s team-mates have yet to qualify.

The most unusual draw: Uruguay, Iran, Ghana. The Devils have only faced Uruguay three times (the last time at the 90 World Cup) and have never played against Iran or Ghana.
