In the Almeria town of El Ejido, contact sports are in luck, especially boxing. And it is that this Saturday, April 9, an event is going to be held in the hotel in which the ejido Alvaro Godoyalso known as ‘El Mago’, will debut in the professional category, having recently won the bronze medal at the WBO World Boxing Spirit Championship.
“We are very happy to host this event and promote the sport in El Ejido. It is a pride to be able to give the opportunity to a great young athlete like Godoy, who will mark history by being the first ejido citizen to become a professional in this sport. We want to break boxing schemes and give it the place it deserves,” he says. Hugo Campillodirector of the hotel where the evening will take place.
In the event, which will begin at 9:00 p.m. at the Ejidohotel, numerous promises in the amateur field will participate, who will seek to continue gaining experience so that, one day, they will follow in the footsteps of Godoy, the boxer of the German Castle Club. To attend the event, you can opt for a chair ticket (20 euros) or a VIP table, which includes dinner and drinks (50 euros). Everything is to support the boxers in the area who seek to one day fulfill their dream.
