The school judo of Ibiza shows off its level in the Balearic Islands

The city of Mahón (Menorca) hosted the Balearic championship for school age children and cadets on Saturday, where the Ibiza delegation shone with 23 medals. Of these, ten were bronze, eight silver and five gold, all of them in female categories (four in children and one in cadet).

The five Balearic champions who obtained the pass for the national final and who will represent the island of Ibiza in the Spanish Championship, which will be held in Pamplona on April 30 and May 1, are Iría Álvarez (children -36 kg ), Dina Hamri (child -40 kg), María Vicent (child -44 kg), Ingrid Soriano (child -52 kg) and Elena Ramón (cadet -52 kg).

Formentera, meanwhile, won six medals (1 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronzes), highlighting the performance of the judoka Laura Escandell (-48 kg), who managed to become Balearic champion and certified her classification for the Spanish Championship .
