In a letter addressed to the Presidents of Leagues and clubs, the Senegalese Basketball Federation announces its new bans. Among them, the use of so-called laser lamps pointed at the players’ eyes. This, after having saluted the “dynamism of the clubs in the effort to mobilize their supporters, within the framework of the organization of our competitions.”
However, in order to preserve the comfort of the public and the integrity of the sport, “the following objects and instruments are henceforth prohibited within the premises of the official basketball competition sites. The so-called laser lamps pointed at the eyes of the players; Pot lids and Vuvuzela which produce excessive noise pollution”, reads the Federation press release sent to PressAfrik.
The Senegalese Basket-Ball Federation also adds that it is counting on everyone’s cooperation for the rigorous application of this prohibition measure.
