In recent days in Moncalvo, presented the new season of tambourine in Piedmont, a traditional sport that will return to animate the fields of many villages in the Region.
The presentation ended with the group of mayors of the municipalities protagonists on stage and the voice of the soprano Elena Canale, at the Civic Theater of Moncalvo.
The event, presented by Ivo Anselmo and Tatiana Lazzaro, saw many protagonists of the tambourine, the welcome went to the national and regional representatives of the Federation and the Wall Historical Commission Roberto Gino, Alessandra De Vincenzi, Gianni Macario e Mimmo Basso.
Following the greeting from the house of the mayor of Moncalvo Christian Orecchiathe intervention of the president of the province of Asti Paolo Lanfranco and then the parade of formations started with the teams involved in the women’s Open championships (Pieese e Tigliolese) and continued with the high monferries of Cremolino (the only team involved in the A series of free tambourine) and the Piedmontese athletes militant in the open championships outside the region.

With matches scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays (and holidays), the calendar reserves a schedule of seven days out and the same number back for the regular season (from April 17 to July 10) followed by semifinals (16 and 17 and 23 and 24 July) and by very dry final scheduled for Sunday 7 August at 16 on the sferisterio still to be formalized.

The CONI delegate also greeted the athletes Lavinia Saracco before an exciting final closing with the words of “Con te partirò” through the voice of Elena Canale who obtained the standing ovation of the public with the subsequent transfer to the premises of the Pro Loco of Moncalvo for the mini-dinner to welcome the new vintage of “tam tam”.
The debut of the top division of the wall is scheduled for the Easter weekend with the first day of play (kick-off for the departures scheduled in April: 3.30 pm) distributed between Saturday 16 April (Castell’Alfero-Rocca), Sunday 17 April (Montechiaro-Vignale, Moncalvo-Grazzano) and Monday 18 April, day of Easter Monday (Calliano-Montemagno).
