Delegate of the clubs of Occitania including those of Aveyron and for the archers of Sévérac-d’Aveyron, Bernard Barascud participated in the general assembly of the French Federation of archery, in Paris.
On this occasion, the volunteer promotion committee awarded the recognition of the FFTA to the municipality, for having allowed the club Les Archers de Sévérac-d’Aveyron, to evolve in its structure. This recognition, for a municipality of less than 10,000 inhabitants, is represented by a trophy.
Facilities in the sports hall
Indeed, in the Sévérac sports hall, a fixed shooting wall and several movable modules have been installed. That is more than 15 m of target area that can more easily accommodate archers and archers in training and competition. Or even now be able to organize meetings between educational and health establishments. Successful installation with a large budget thanks to the supplementary competitions of the national sports agency, the regional council, the community of communes of Causses in Aubrac, the commune of Sévérac, private partners.
In this sports and meeting room, the general meeting was held mentioning the club’s projects. Then, piloted by the technical adviser of the regional technical team of the regional discipline committee, the federal continuing education module for the fifteen or so archers and archery coaches with the theme “the implementation of tools for the resumption of activity”. And at the beginning of March, the first sports meeting inviting the 75 young U11 licensees from the 18 clubs of Aveyron and Lozère, to formalize their first interdepartmental competition of their age.
Other meetings will follow in May, the next U11 departmental meeting, in Colombiès and in July, the nature shooting competition, in Salmiech, for all licensees.
