Two golds and a bronze for the La Spezia judo team at the “City of Colombo International Trophy” which took place in Genoa on Sunday 3 April. Accompanied and assisted by Maestro Francesco Gigliola and Lamberto Lambertuci, the four judoka athletes from La Spezia Judo Society Together La Speziahave shown their ever-increasing technical level also thanks to collaborators such as Matteo Ingrosso and Paolo Giacopinelli who, in the headquarters of the Pieve district, work on the tatami under the supervision of Maestro Vito Gigliola.
The most prestigious event was attended by 4 athletes from Thomas Ghidoni, Michele Billa, Andrea Laspina, Alessio Bertano.
A competition of the highest competitive level that saw Thomas Ghidoni, an athlete already medalized at the Italian Championships, to establish himself by winning a gold medal by winning 4 fights all for ippon (ko in boxing) and a bronze one. Another gold medal won by Michele Billa who in his first race in the rookie category and having to face older athletes was able to surprise and snatch the first place. Excellent performance with the bronze medal with four matches won and one lost for Andrea Laspina in the most aggressive category. The performance of Alessio Bertano is also very important, who together with all his teammates has been able to give prestige to our La Spezia judo team.
Thanks also to Alessandro Peris, Luciano Pallotta and Antonio Balzanelli, for their collaboration in the project Judo Together.
