Such is taken who thought he was taking. The board of directors of the amateur section of Biarritz Olympique notified Serge Blanco, Monday April 4, by email and post, of his exclusion. Assisted by his lawyer Me Sacha Zeidenberg, the former international full-back and president of the SASP (1995-1998, 2008-2015) had been summoned by this same CA, on March 30, to be heard within the framework of a disciplinary procedure.
The administrators of the association, including the president David Couzinet, particularly wanted to know the reasons which had led Serge Blanco to sign a notice of ordinary general meeting, precisely for this Monday, April 4, in order to dismiss the members of the board of directors. , named last December, namely the “Galactics” of the 2000s: David Couzinet, Jérôme Thion, Dimitri Yachvili, Imanol Harinordoquy as well as Jimmy Marlu and Christophe Milheres. A summons had been posted by an employee of the SASP BOPB on the premises of the club and aimed at the dismissal of the double champions of France (2005 and 2006).
During the hearing, the board of directors exposed the irregularity of the procedure launched by Serge Blanco and therefore proceeded to his dismissal in application of article 8 of the statutes which govern the amateur sector. A summary judgment is scheduled for Tuesday morning, at the Court of Bayonne, in order to rule definitively on the illegality of the Ordinary General Meeting launched by Serge Blanco and his dismissal as a member of the Board.
Growing tension
On December 15, the constitution of the office was approved following a vote at the general meeting (135 votes for and 81 against). David Couzinet officially took the lead, supported by Dimitri Yachvili, Imanol Harinordoquy, Jérôme Thion, Olivier Gomes, Jimmy Marlu, Christophe Milhères and player Emmanuelle Momal as “new administrators”.
This change of direction has, since its infancy, generated growing tension with the SASP (professional structure of the club) and its president Jean-Baptiste Aldigé. At the heart of the disagreements: the future of the training center, managed sportingly by the pro club and administratively by the association. Fifteen days before the formalization of the office of the association, the Lot-et-Garonne leader and the majority shareholder Louis-Vincent Gave conditioned their contribution to the renovation of the Aguilera sports park to the ousting of David Couzinet. Finally, the town hall of Biarritz imagined the creation of the center on the site of the Hippodrome des Fleurs, and no longer at the BO stadium, to the dismay of the club’s management.
