Leipzig and especially Frankfurt are the best placed after the semi-finals of the Europa League.
The last four of this 2021-22 edition of the Europa League could benefit German clubs. This Thursday evening, Leipzig and Frankfurt got their first foot in the final by winning against Glasgow Rangers (1-0) and West Ham (2-1) respectively. The Red Bull team had to wait to draw their victory. It took a late goal from Angelino five minutes from the end to see Leipzig unblock the situation (1-0, 85th) after an indecisive and intense meeting.
Frankfurt impresses
The other Bundesliga club, Frankfurt, achieved an even more gratifying performance by going to win a convincing victory in England, on the lawn of West Ham. Knauff opened the scoring from the start in favor of Eintracht (0-1, 1st), before the Hammers equalized by Antonio (1-1, 20th). But the visitors came back in front after half-time, with an achievement signed Kamada (1-2, 54th). Frankfurt, who defeated Barça, will nevertheless have to be wary of a West Ham team capable of the best away, as Lyon could attest to in the previous round.
