Ukrainians stopped in the village

On the outward journey, the vehicle was loaded with tin cans which were brought to kyiv. On their return, Frédéric Brun and his companion Marysia Ferrier, despite a chaotic situation, headed for Lviv, to the dance school Les Joyeux Petits Souliers. This establishment has links with several associations in various French departments, in particular in Saint-André-de-Cubzac, in Gironde.

They took care of a grandmother, Olèna, a mother, Olga, and her two children aged 3 and 10, and another mother, Inna, and her two children aged 7 and 9. The husbands and grandfather were requisitioned to defend their country.

Upon their arrival in Saint-Saud, these refugees spent the night from Wednesday March 30 to Thursday March 31 with Frédéric Brun and Marysia Ferrier. They found warmth and support there. Thursday morning, Pierre Duval, first magistrate of the commune, came to meet them, with all the members of his municipal council and his son, husband of a Ukrainian. This one, repatriated from Ukraine where he worked, speaks Russian very well, which facilitated the exchanges.

Third trip

Frédéric Brun and his companion drove the Ukrainians on Friday April 1 to Créon, in Gironde, for administrative formalities. They were then to be directed to associative apartments in Bordeaux.

Frédéric Brun and Marysia Ferrier are planning another trip to Ukraine for Easter, again with the aim of bringing families fleeing the war back to France.
