• NBA play-in is essentially mini elimination tournament to find out the last two teams in each conference that qualify for the “big” playoffs – play-off for a tournament battling for the NBA title.
• Play-in The winners of the 7th to 10th places in the Western and Eastern conferences will take part in the tournament at the end of the regular season.

• These teams play a “mini-tournament” at each conference. As an example, let’s look at the NBA East Conference:
1) In the first play-in round of the seventh-ranked team [Bruklinas “Nets”] play against the eighth [Klīvlendas “Cavaliers”]while the ninth [Atlantas “Hawks”] Against the tenth place [Šarlotas “Hornets”].
2) The winner of the “Nets” and “Cavaliers” duel provides one of the remaining two tickets to play-offqualifying as the seventh team in their conference.
3) For each other play-off the losing team of the same pair fights with the winner of the Hawks and Hornets battle, determining the team that takes the last – eighth – party in the conference play-off the position of the participants.
• The same mock-up procedure applies to the Western Conference.
• Unlike play-offwhere the winner of a two – team duel is determined in a series of up to four wins, each play-in round everything is decided in one game. First play-in the games will be held on the night of Wednesday after Latvian time.
• None of the teams represented by Latvian basketball players play-in will not participate in the tournament. Kristaps Porzins concluded the regular season of the Washington Wizards in 11th place at the Eastern Conference and play-in did not qualify for the tournament, but Dāvis Bertāns Dallas “Mavericks” is already preparing play-off fighting as the fourth place winner in the Western Conference.
