County Mayor Lin Zimiao announced that the county government will adjust the allocation of medical resources. In the future, screening will be carried out according to the degree of risk, instead of comprehensive screening to ensure the best allocation of resources.
The central government announced on the 15th that there were 40 new cases in Yilan County, of which 2 cases were announced yesterday (case 30,799 were confirmed cases by police officers attending a wedding banquet, and case 30,796 were confirmed cases by firefighters). The number of cases with the case number actually increased to 46 people.
There are 23 new cases related to the wedding banquet at the Crystal Garden Club today, 8 of which have not yet been listed. The 8 people without a case number went to the Nan’ao Township multi-purpose basketball court for screening, and the results were positive.
In addition, in the case of a family dinner group gathering, 3 new relatives and friends were diagnosed today. Cases 31159, 31160, and 31484 are related cases. As someone in the family was diagnosed one after another, they were isolated and tested by the health unit, and the results were positive.
As for the other sporadic cases, cases 30796, 30793, and 30794 are cases with known sources of infection, all of which were confirmed by other relatives and friends in other counties and cities.
In addition, 17 cases are currently in the process of clarifying the source of infection, with CT values ranging from 12.5 to 34.1, and related epidemic investigations are ongoing.
The county magistrate Lin said that he would like to thank the county residents for their support and efforts during this period of time, and to experience three cluster cases together. As the number of confirmed cases nationwide exceeds 1,000, and the number of cases in Keelung, Taipei, New Taipei, and Hualien continues to increase, the number of confirmed cases in this county will also increase. In order to maintain the medical capacity in the county, how to allocate resources is the next problem that the county government team will face.
In order to prevent the spread of the epidemic, the Health Bureau has screened a total of 24,592 people since March 31. Regarding the wedding banquet case of Jingyuan Club, the screening stations were added to 1 kindergarten, 3 elementary schools, 1 vocational school, 1 middle school, 2 high schools, and the multi-purpose basketball court in Nan’ao Township, and a total of 8,182 people were screened.
