Ramiz Zerrouki thanks the FC Twente fans after a win

Ramiz Zerrouki has developed into one of the most important players of FC Twente. The playmaker enjoys football in Enschede and knows that his team is a plague for every other Dutch team.
“Yeah, we know we’re annoying,” Zerrouki laughs in conversation with De Volkskrant† “But annoying in a positive sense. It’s nice for us, it’s less for the opponent.” At the start of the season there was still a lot of grumbling. “We don’t really hear that complaining anymore.”
“The stadium is full of 30,000 people and not everyone can be positive, but we are starting to play better and better.” Reason enough for Zerrouki to extend his contract. “The club has also given me the opportunity. If I go, I want to do it with a good feeling and leave something behind. I’m really in the right place here, we have a super nice team and we also get a lot of points,” concludes he.
