Another huge weekend for the city’s basketball ambassadors – Diario El Ciudadano y la Región

Rosario’s ambassadors around the world had another weekend of great action in the different basketball competitions they play. In this case, the review covers Mexico, Chile, Italy and Spain.

In Italy Gastón Fredes closed the regular phase of Serie D Abruzzi. In the penultimate match, Molise Vasket Youg won against Blue Basket Roseto as a visitor by 81-71. The forward scored 35 points in 37 minutes.

On Saturday the regular phase closed and Gastón Fredes’s Molise Basket Young beat Montesilvano 73-51 with 19 goals from Rosario. They will play playoffs for promotion.

For its part, in the Italian women’s A2, Natalia Ríos’s Blue Lizard Capri won Savona 79-59 and went ahead 1-0 in the playout to maintain the category. Ríos had 6 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists.

In B, Agrigento did not use Nicolás Morici again but won 74-62 against Cassino and won the regular phase

In Friuli Italy’s Serie D, Matías Príncipe’s Fagagna lost 68-62 at home against Rorairgrande.

For its part, Leandro Faranna’s Junior Casale Monferrato won the first semifinal of the C Gold Piemonte against Cirie 52-50 with 12 from Rosario.

In Spain, Valencia lost 97 to 84 against Zamora in the quarterfinals of the Liga Leb Plata in Spain but due to the advantage of the first leg they qualified for the semifinals. Bautista Lugarini had 2 points with 4 rebounds for Valencia.

And in the Leb Oro League, Oviedo beat Juani Marcos’ Lleida 89-85, who broke it with 20 points and 4 assists

Meanwhile, on Friday Pepe Pidal’s Fuerza Regia beat Halcones 89-83 in the Mexican Women’s League, while Abejas de León fell at home 83-68 to Astros de Jalisco despite 9 points, 2 steals, 2 rebounds and 1 assist from Candela Foresto.

On Saturday, Fuerza Regia beat Halconas 95-78, while Candela Foresto’s Abejas de León (10 points) fell to Astros de Jalisco 90-70.

In the other Mexican League that is played in parallel, Carlos Gorosito’s Escaramuzas de Jalisco beat Las Plebes 70-58 on Saturday and 78-59 on Sunday.

And in Chile, Manuel Córdoba’s Valdivia beat Puente Alto 89-75 and went 2-0 in the quarterfinal series of the Chilean National League.
