The mini-basketball party at Le Creusot was a success. The Saône-et-Loire committee did the job and the Breuil club was at the top for logistics. Two reasons to keep the model.
It was only midday, but on Sunday at the reception organized for the mini-basketball party held at the sports hall, we already knew it was a success. This is what Philippe Berthaud, the president of the Saône-et-Loire committee, underlined in front of the guests. “Coming to Le Creusot is always pleasant,” he said, very happy that this party was able to be organized for a good exit from COVID.
A success therefore, which David Marti, the Mayor of Le Creusot, seized to send a message which was anything but subliminal to the address of the French Basketball Federation and its representative Agnès Fauchard, the president of the youth commission who had made a special trip to Le Creusot.
“I hope that your federation will not add additional organizational constraints, with new standards, because it is becoming unbearable” launched David Marti, taking the example of the UPCV, the table tennis club which cannot without no longer organize very large competitions, because the Federation has added additional constraints to the specifications. History without a doubt to deprive the small provincial clubs of large organizations, while it has been more than three decades since the UPCV has demonstrated its very good organizational capacities, which have been praised each time.
“Whenever I have the opportunity I will rage,” added David Marti.
Agnès Fauchard assured to have heard the message and underlined: “We do not impose anything on the committees, we just try to help them”. CQFD. But as long as it lasts.
The federal representative, in any case, praised the quality of the organization with congratulations in particular for the Breuil club which provided the logistics and the pancakes… And no one was sick!
Sophie Clément, vice-president of the departmental council, in charge of community life, recalled that the community has doubled its support for sports clubs and associations. “We need volunteers, you need volunteers. This is why from September 1 we will open a support service for associations”.
We noted at this reception the presence of Guy Arnoud, president of the WHO of Burgundy – Franche-Comté, of Nadine Audin – Bredillet, who represented the CDOS, but also of Momen Achou and Arnaud Deleplanque, elected at Le Creusot, in charge of sports.
