Ble Juvecaserta Academy and Pallacanestro Salerno will compete tonight in the sports hall in viale Medaglie d’oro for the Campania 2022 Cup. The two teams respectively won the semifinals with Miwa Energia Benevento and Geko Consulting S.Antimo a plant, the Caserta one, finally reopened to the public after the many vicissitudes linked to the covid emergency and the problems of viability of the structure.

On the wings of the gained advantage, the quintet of coach Menduto tried to control the match, even if Geko tried to reopen the confrontation on several occasions. The direction of Chavez and the conclusions of Melillo did not, however, leave room for the Neapolitans, allowing their team to close on the score of 81-63.
The progress of the second semifinal was not very different. Balanced start with attacks mainly on the defenses and with Ble who took a small advantage in the second part of the quarter that he managed to keep until the first siren (21-19). The two teams were still on the same level also in the second period with the local bianconeri looking for the break and the Samnites who tried to contain them even with a defense often at the limit. So we went ahead with each of the quintets on the pitch trying to overtake the other; then, in the final minutes 7 consecutive points by Bagdonavicius broke the equilibrium and allowed the people from Caserta to go to the long interval at 37-30. At the beginning of the third period Rianna and Order tried to bring their team closer together, but they always found a quick reaction from Caserta who, with a basket plus foul, reached the double-digit advantage with Cioppa (46-36). A triple from Papa brought Benevento to -7 and Kuvekalovic’s and Alunderis’ goals did not change the gap in the 30th minute (50-43). In the last period, the Caserta players have tightened their defensive shirts even more and for Miwa it has become difficult to find the way to the basket. Unlike Ble that with Bagdonavicius returned to +10 (57-47) which became +19 after Cioppa’s triple who closed a partial of 17-5 also propitiated by Blair’s baskets. Tinto and Greco.
