The thirty best women’s and men’s teams in France will meet on Saturday morning on the tatami mats of the Grand Dôme to do battle. Alongside PSG judo (by Teddy Riner, Amandine Buchard, Romane Dicko…), US Orléans (with the Gnieto sisters…), Flam 91, there will also be girls from Bourges Judo.
Faithful to the appointment
An appointment on which they are regulars, as underlined by the technical director of the club, Ludovic Lebourlès. “During the last twelve years we only had to miss three editions,” he recalls. We won’t have big ambitions, but we hope to pass a round and advance as far as possible in the table. It would still be necessary to strengthen itself if we want to make a good figure. »
For this new edition, Bourges Judo has chosen to trust its promising young generation. The cadets Sarah Bothy (-52 kg) and Louise Spiquel-Bandin (-57 kg) will thus participate in their first French championship for seniors in the First Division. Two juniors will also be part of the group: Mélanie Dorangeville (+70 kg) and Maëliz Salaun (-63kg). To supervise this very young team, we will find Adelie Gohier (-52 kg), Chloë Pinel (-70 kg) and Marion Duboc (-63 kg).
The women’s team of Bourges regional champion judo.
“Some girls are already starting to have experience like Maëliz (Salaun) who was already part of the team in Brest in 2020, specifies Ludovic Lebourlès. A transition is taking place and it is a very good thing. »
To prepare for this competition, the Berruyères left for an internship last month in the Paris region, along with the men’s team which was competing in the second division French championships. However, it will not take long to get into shape, Saturday morning, since the first fight of the BJ takes place at 8 am.
Jujitsu: two medals for Lauryne Lage
