Bundesliga, 2nd and 3rd divisions: These clubs can be promoted and relegated – football

End of the season!

The 33rd matchday is coming up this weekend in the Bundesliga and 2nd division. One thing is already clear: Bayern are once again German champions, while Bochum has already secured relegation. Otherwise there is still pure excitement! Who can be relegated from the Bundesliga this weekend? Which clubs from the 2nd league can make promotion perfect, for whom can it go into the 3rd league? How is it in the 3rd league? Here’s an overview and all the information about what needs to happen.

Bundesliga

Fürth has already been relegated. Four clubs still have to tremble:

  • Bielefeld: For Arminia it’s Friday to Bochum. The team currently has 27 points and is in 17th place. Bielefeld loses and Stuttgart (with 29 points in 16th place) wins in Munich on Sunday, but Bielefeld will also play in the second division next season. If there is a draw at Bayern against Stuttgart, Arminia can still hope.
  • Stuttgart: Cannot descend this weekend. But if VfB loses and Bielefeld wins in 17th place, Stuttgart is 17th and has to hope for the last matchday.
  • Hertha: Is in 15th place with 33 points before the 33rd matchday. Even if the Berliners lose in Mainz and Stuttgart wins, nothing will change in the table constellation (yet).
  • Augsburg: Can theoretically no longer dismount. After 32 match days, FCA has six points more than Stuttgart on the relegation place. The team has to lose both remaining games, Stuttgart and Hertha both clearly win. Even then, Augsburg would still have the chance to save themselves through relegation.

2. Liga

More excitement is not possible! No climbers have been determined yet, five teams still have the opportunity to play at the top next season.

  • Schalke: Pure promotion battle at the weekend. Schalke are top of the table with 59 points and have to face their competitor St. Pauli on Saturday night. If S04 wins and Darmstadt and Werder (57 points each) don’t win their games, the club is certain to be the first promoted team. If Schalke draws and Darmstadt and Werder lose, promotion is theoretically safe.
  • Darmstadt: Is in 2nd place with 57 points. On Friday evening the Lilien are off to Düsseldorf. Upgrading is not yet possible this weekend. But: If they win and Werder loses in third place, it will be difficult for Bremen to oust Darmstadt on the last day of the game.
  • Werder: Like Darmstadt, currently has 57 points, but is in third place due to the worse goal difference. Werder wins Sunday in Aue and Darmstadt loses before that in Düsseldorf, the North Germans pass, but are not yet certain as promoted.
  • HSV: Has 54 points before the game against Hannover on Saturday and still hopes. Hamburg cannot be promoted this Saturday, but they will pass Darmstadt and Werder in second place if these two clubs lose their games.
  • St. Pauli: Has 54 points like HSV. In the duel for promotion, the club goes to Schalke. If the Kiezkicker win there, they won’t be a promoted team, but they would only be two points behind the royal blue.

Ingolstadt and Aue have already been confirmed as relegated to the second division. Dynamo will play in the relegation.

3. Liga

Magdeburg has already been confirmed as a climber. Three other clubs are still fighting for promotion.

  • Braunschweig: Currently in second place with 64 points. If Braunschweig wins in Meppen on Saturday, Eintracht will definitely be in the second division next season.
  • Purify: Only one point less (63) than Braunschweig, but also only one game left after the elimination of Türkgücü Munich. If FCK wins Sunday at Viktoria Köln and Braunschweig does not win Saturday in Meppen, the club temporarily jumps to second place.
FCK can only watch on the last day of the game and must hope that Braunschweig does not score three points again against Viktoria Köln.
  • 1860: Has little chance with currently 58 points. There is no way Munich can get promoted this weekend. Promotion is only possible after matchday 34 if they win both games in Magdeburg and against Dortmund II, and lose Lautern and Braunschweig before that.

The Würzburger Kickers, Havelse and Türkgücü have already been relegated. Verl is currently still on a relegation zone, but Meppen, Halle, Viktoria Cologne, Duisburg and Viktoria Berlin can still be relegated.
