After a two-year hiatus due to the health crisis, the 16th edition of the youth departmental challenge took place recently at the ASPTT Aurillac gymnasium in Arpajon-sur-Cere under the control of Gerard Chavarocheregional referee.
The young Cantal archers from the Stade Aurillacois, ASPTT and Saignes clubs responded and took part in this friendly meeting. The team victory, and therefore the challenge, returned for the first year to the Aurillacois Stadium Archers Clubwith Nathan Feuillet Gérin, Timo Bonnet Grosnier, Éva Billoux and Sacha Izac, who succeeded the ASPTT Aurillac after 2 consecutive years.
In individuals, victories of the archers of the Archers of the Aurillacois Stadium in Benjamins men with Timo Bonnet Grosnier, in Young ladies with Éléonore Laybros Grapy, in junior ladies with Eva Billoux and cadet men with Nathan Feuillet Gerin. The ASPTT club won the category minimal men with Christopher Chambon and minimal ladies with Coline Bruniquel and the Saignes club the category chicks with Quentin Irsch.
The awards ceremony took place in the presence of Michel Gazal, vice-president of the departmental archery committee, Jean Pierre Dimoyat, treasurer and Jacques Mauré, secretary. The 2023 edition will therefore take place on the launch pad of the Marie Marvingt gymnasium in Aurillac.
