MODENA. Gala evening at the club the meridian which last night hosted the awarding of the Stars for sporting merit, of the Palms and of the medals for athletic valor by CONI Di Modena to its most deserving athletes. The regional president of CONI did the honors Andrea Dondi and Ubaldo, the delegate of CONI from Modena Roberto Gianaroli.

«It is wonderful – comments the president Dondi – to celebrate athletes, clubs and managers who have spent so much time in Modena sports and brought important results to the city. After two years of absence due to Covid, returning with this ceremony in attendance is an excellent sign. In the last year we have had increasing numbers in all disciplines, in the future we want to invest more and more in events that catalyze the arrival of tourists and also in structures and plants ».

Three athletes from Modena were awarded the silver medal for athletic valor: Arianna Ferrentino, European champion figure skating in pairs, Elisa Iorio, third classified at the World Artistic Gymnastics in the general team competition, and Erika Piancastelli, champion European softball.

Below, however, the athletes awarded with the bronze medal for athletic value. Fabrizio Agliolo Gallitto (4X100 and 4X200 Italian fin swimming champion), Gianluca Allegretti (third place in the European Championships and Italian fin swimming 400, 800, 1500, 2000 and relay champion), Vittorio Fausto Bardelli (Italian gliding champion in the 20 meters ), Riccardo Bregoli (Italian champion of golf and national amateur March-Play), Davide De Maria (Italian champion of Kung FuWushu, Tau Quan and Tai Yuan specialties), Francesco Fullin (Italian champion of individual motor acrobatics in the Sportsman category), Alice Levratti (Italian champion in outdoor compound team target shooting), Matteo Panini (Italian champion of historic speed cars), Luca Ricci (Italian bowls champion, raffa in pairs), Michele Russo (Italian fin swimming champion , 1000 bipinne and 4×100 relay mixed bipinne), Sara Tonelli (Italian fin swimming champion 4×200 relay) and Marcello Bombardi (Italian lead and boulder climbing champion) .

“I share the passion of finswimming with my dad – tells an excited Sara Tonelli – he is the one who passed it on to me”.

Emotion that can be read in the faces of all those present: “It was wonderful to receive this award – says Alice Levratti – I became a sportswoman thanks to the compound, where the bow uses a pulley system”.

As for the Star for technical merit, the most prestigious award, the gold one, goes to Flavio Pivetti: manager since 1963, he was president of Modena Baseball, provincial delegate of the Baseball Federation for Modena, regional councilor of the FIBS and federal referee youth.

“It is nice to have great baseball back in Modena – comments Pivetti, almost moved by the award ceremony – and I am happy to have been part of the Modena history of this sport”.

The Palme d’Or for technical merit goes to Paolo Oleari, technical director of the Fijlkam judo section of Emilia-Romagna. The only silver star of 2018 goes to Bruno Bassoli, manager of the Athletics Federation since 1962, while the only one of 2019 goes to Maurizio Andreoli, director of FederBocce. Tiziano Aleotti, on the other hand, founding member and president of Pico Mirandola from 2014 to 2018 and provincial delegate of the Italian Basketball Federation, the only one awarded with the 2018 bronze star. bronze medal 2019: Franco Angeli (manager and competition judge of the Athletics Federation), the Avia Pervia pentathlon and triathlon company and the Provincial Timekeepers Association.
