RB Leipzig won the DFB Cup last weekend. The Leipzig team won the first major title in their club’s history by beating SC Freiburg 4:2.

Where is the DFB Cup 2022/23 live on TV?
As in the previous season, the pay-TV broadcaster Sky is showing all 63 cup games live. You can also follow all games in the live ticker at BILD.de.
ARD and ZDF will broadcast a total of fifteen games live (including both semi-finals and the final). The two TV stations are showing two more games than in the previous cup season!
How did the draw go?
The game pairings of the first round in the DFB Cup were drawn from two containers. The balls of the teams from the Bundesliga and 2nd division were in the first pot, those of the amateur teams in the other pot. However: The 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th of the past second division season and those promoted to the second division end up in the amateur pot. This meant that there were 32 balls in each of the two pots.
In the draw, one ticket was drawn first from the amateur container and then from the other container. The team drawn first has home advantage.
World champion Kevin Grosskreutz (33) and DFB Vice President Ronny Zimmermann drew the balls. Zimmermann represented the new DFB President Bernd Neuendorf (60), who was suffering from Corona.

The dates of the 2022/23 DFB Cup season
The games in the first round of the DFB Cup involving FC Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig will only take place on 30./31. August instead of.
Reason: the German champion and the cup winner will play the Supercup on July 30, 2022.
- 1st round: 29th/30th/31st July and August 1, 2022 (Bayern and Leipzig games: on August 30/31)
- 2nd round: 18th/19th October 2022
- Round of 16: January 31/January 1 February and 7./8. February 2023
- Quarterfinals: 4th/5th April 2023
- Semifinals: 2nd/3rd May 2023
- DFB-Pokal-Finale (Berlin): June 3, 2023

64 teams are taking part in the 2022/23 DFB Cup.
In addition to the 36 professional clubs in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2, the top four from the last third division season also take part in the DFB Cup. Then there are the 21 state cup winners. One team each from the three DFB state associations with the most members, North Rhine-Westphalia, Bavaria and Lower Saxony, completes the list of participants in the DFB Cup.
