President of CROS Île-de-France and the Regional Sport Conference, Evelyne Ciriegi was awarded the 2022 President’s Trophy by the French Judo Federation.
A discipline at the heart of the territories, in particular thanks to the 1000 Dojos plan, judo is a major sport in Île-de-France. The French Judo Federation is not mistaken since it awarded Evelyne Ciriegi the 2022 President’s Trophy. “both personal and collective since it is the result of the involvement of the entire Ile-de-France sports movement and highlights the role of CROS in the region as the JOP Paris 2024 approaches and the challenges to be met”underlines the president of CROS Île-de-France and the Regional Sports Conference.
The CROS, actor in the field
Mohammed Zouarh, vice-president Grades, Culture and Distinctions of the FFJudo, Sébastien Nolesini, general manager, and Magali Baton, general secretary, were all present to present the distinction to the president of CROS. Mohammed Zouarh also recalled the importance of the field work carried out by the CROS for access to sport for all, while welcoming the 40 years of commitment of Evelyne Ciriegi. A dedication and an implication turned towards the youth and the territories which corresponds to the policy carried out by the French Federation of Judo.
A boost for judo as Paris 2024 approaches
The CROS and the French Judo Federation, two actors who work hand in hand, including with the prospect of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As a reminder, the judo events will take place in the Ile-de-France region. More precisely at the Arena Champ de Mars, in the heart of Paris and near the Eiffel Tower, the Ecole Militaire or the Esplanade des Invalides. While this appointment is fixed in two years, it is the entire territory of the Ile-de-France region which is mobilizing to allow judo to continue to develop.
