The case mentioned before the Dinant criminal court this Wednesday morning and in which several members of two well-known families from the Cinacienne region are involved is old but nevertheless deserves to be relayed.
The facts date back to New Year 2016. One of the protagonists, Francq, invites himself to his cousin’s home in Emptinne (Ciney) Sandra where Mike and Brondon are also located, despite a conflict that has pitted the two clans for more than 20 years. Inevitably, on the spot, the situation degenerates quickly. “There was an altercation because they thought I was smoking a joint. Brondon then cut my face with a razor. My skin was hanging off. Fortunately, I had time to lower my head a little otherwise I was gutted”, says Francq who still has a large scar on his left cheek today. Incriminated, Brondon, he disputes being the author of the blade stroke. According to him, this cut could only have been made by Mike. “It was 1:00 a.m. when Francq arrived. Why did he come? He still likes to come from time to time to fuck things up, but when things go wrong, he pretends to be the victim.”
Out of anger, Francq damages his cousins’ Mercedes. On the other hand, he denies having called relatives to carry out a Vendetta. Because that’s what happens next. Three people go there, apparently with a 12 gauge rifle, a golf club and baseball bats. Two shots are fired and the mobile home is destroyed.
“In this environment, it is the law of silence. The word of one against that of the other”, specifies the public prosecutor who finds himself unable to determine the role of each. Reason why only three six-month prison sentences are required against Francq, Mike and Brondon. Judgment on June 22.
