French Open: Garbiñe Muguruza and Ons Jabeur fail in Roland-Garros in the first round

Jabeur lost to Magda Linette from Poland 6:3, 6:7 (4:7), 5.7.

The 27-year-old was highly traded at the Stade Roland-Garros. Among other things, she convinced in preparation for the French Open by winning the tournament in Madrid.

However, Linette proved to be a great fighter. The number 52 in the world rankings was not impressed by the set deficit and knocked down the favorite after two more tight sets.

After 2:28 hours, Linette made the progression perfect with a break to 7:5.

Muguruza playful sentence leadership

Muguruza fared similarly to Jabeur. The Spaniard won the first set relatively clearly, but then got out of step.

Kanepi managed to put the momentum on their side. The Estonian annoyed Muguruza especially on the return and prevailed after a playing time of 2:06 hours.

Sakkari picks up speed

Maria Sakkari did better than Jabeur and Muguruza. The Greek was in the semi-finals of Roland-Garros last year and defeated Clara Burel from France 6-2, 6-3 in round one.

Sakkari served better, was smarter with big points, and ended the match in her favor after an hour and 28 minutes.
