Dutch driver Nyck de Vries, champion of the previous season, wins Round 8 of the Formula E Berlin E-Prix

The defender of the title, the Dutch Nyck de Vries (Mercedes-EQ), achieved his third victory this Sunday -second of the season- in the Formula E World Championship by winning the eighth round of 2022, the second of those scheduled for this weekend in Berlin.

De Vries, current champion of the event, won the inaugural test, at the end of January in Riyadh, and this Sunday he won again, this time with authority, from third place on the grid and with a margin of 2.454 seconds over the second, the Swiss Edoardo Mortara (Rokit Venturi Racing), winner of Saturday’s race and who in the second also added points for pole position and the fastest lap.

As he did on Saturday, he completed the podium, almost seven seconds behind, the Belgian Stoffel Vandoorne (Mercedes-EQ), who remains the leader of the championship with 111 points, twelve more than Mortara and a margin of 16 over Frenchman Jean-Éric Vergne (DS Techeetah), ninth this Sunday in the second Berlin ePrix.?
