On Saturday, a tournament of the young departmental circuit was organized by the badminton association of Pithiviers (ABP), at the Joinville gymnasium. It brought together 85 competitors from all over Loiret.
Seventeen clubs had sent representatives, and that of Pithiviers was not to be outdone with its fifteen young people, some of whom were taking part in their very first competition.
In almost all categories, from chick to junior, from 8 to 16 years old, the Pithivériens have climbed the podiums in singles or doubles. They were praised and received a few awards like boxes of shuttlecocks.
Palmares. Cadets minimal A: winner, Léandro Rio; cadet minimal B: winner, Lorian Nedellec. Poussin double ladies, who came second: Flora Auvray and Léna Douillet. Benjamin top 1: winner, Ewen Crette and finalist, Marius Emonet.
The ABP will organize an adult doubles tournament at the beginning of July, at the Joinville gymnasium.
