Last Saturday a large number of volantistas gathered in the Huelva municipality of Bonares to compete in the Andalucía TOP TTR Sub-15 and Sub-19 organized by the Andalusian Badminton Federation and the IES La Orden Badminton Club; and sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía and the Hon. Bonares Town Hall.
In this event, it is worth highlighting the performance of CB Granada, which obtained 4 of the 8 possible golds (IM-15, DM-15, IM-19 and DM-19), in addition to reviewing the individual role of Rubén Darío Rosales and Sara Arenas in the U-15 category, and Iván Torre in the U-19, all of them proclaiming themselves two-time champions.
Rubén Darío Rosales makes gold in the IM
The man from Granada made it to the semi-finals after beating Diego Arenas (Volante Rute) in two games (21-18/21-11) and Gonzalo Estévez (IES La Orden) in the same way (21-6). /21-4). Emilio Ojeda and María Ojeda obtained the full number of victories in the DX league phase, managing to prevail over Jorge Guillén’s pairs made up of Pablo Tovar/Paula Moreno (21-16/21-17) and Ángel Gallo/Sol Pulido (21- 17/21-17), in addition to beating Sergio Galván and Carmen Gutiérrez from Huelva (Isla Cristina/Huelva) in two games as well (21-11/21-16).
The silver went to Tovar and Moreno beating their teammates Gallo and Pulido in a match that had to last until the third and final game (21-15/15-21/21-18).
