At the association conference of the NWJV in Oberhausen, Hans-Werner Krämer was unanimously elected as the new president for one year in the by-election of the president. Jenny Goldschmidt was unanimously elected as the new Vice President of the NWJV.

At the beginning of the meeting, Erik Goertz and Benny Behrla presented the new NWJV children’s book “Kouki and the Gentle Way”. The book will appear in bookstores on May 10, 2022 and could be purchased exclusively in advance at the association conference. Linked to this is the concept “Judo for everyone – Big Five” (teaching values, training motor skills, learning traps, strengthening self-confidence, fighting according to rules).

NWJV athletics trainer Miryam Roper presented the NWJV athletics concept U13/U15 “Long-term development of athletes”. After her lecture, the most successful athlete of the NWJV in the 21st century (three Olympic participations) was awarded the 3rd Dan grade for her sporting success. The NWJV is the first professional association in North Rhine-Westphalia with an athletic trainer.

Erik Goertz gave an insight into the new DJB grading system, which will be presented nationwide in the judo media from June.

The good governance officer of the NWJV Michaela Engelmeier, who was awarded the 2nd Dan degree at the beginning of the meeting, explained the principles of good association management, which were then adopted by the association meeting.

In his report, Hans-Werner Krämer looked back on the past few months. He addressed the topics of Corona, DJB general meeting, changes in the trainer structures in the NWJV and 50 years of “Budoka”. He especially thanked the office staff for their work. The cooperation between NWDK and NWJV is going very well. Joint projects such as kata bases, black belt campaign, master camp, dan day and dan exams for speakers and cadre athletes are carried out successfully. Despite Corona, a positive trend can be seen in membership development. Working with the DJB is currently proving difficult. In this context, he mentioned the cancellation of the Judo Grand Slam in Düsseldorf, other international events in Germany, the Judo Festival and the appointment of the German Youth Cup.

After just under two and a half hours, the harmonious association conference, which was led by Jörg Brautigam in a sovereign manner, came to an end.
