The Icheon City Sports Center, Gyeonggi Province, is promoting the environmental improvement project of the Icheon City Sports Complex.
Icheon Sports Complex was completed in May 2001 and has been equipped with facilities for large-scale events such as hosting the National Sports Festival in 2015. Additional facilities include a soccer field, baseball field, tennis court, badminton court, table tennis court, inline skating rink, etc. The sports infrastructure is well established.
In addition, it has become a popular spot for many citizens to enjoy sports after work, and family outings are also increasing on weekends.
In order to provide more attractions to the citizens, we are developing an environmental improvement project, such as improving the visual image by painting one photo zone and the exterior wall of the entrance gate (west gate) of the sports complex in green.
In the future, the remaining three entrance doors (South, North, East) will be painted in colors that match their characteristics.
In addition, there is a plan to create a children’s playground with universal design applied to create a playground where parents and children can play together.
In the future, more people are expected to visit due to the easing of social distancing, so the gap will be continuously filled.
