After all, Rubro-Negro was in all the state football decisions. In 2018, for example, Rubro-Negro won the title by defeating Vasco Almirantes. But the following year, the team took the runner-up.
History of Flamengo Emperors
The American Football Club was founded on January 23, 2008 by a group of friends. At the time, the team was still called Rio de Janeiro Imperadores, being the first grass football team in Rio de Janeiro. The very next year, the Emperor won his first title: the first Touchdown Tournament.
With links to other Emperors in the past, the team’s name is not related to red-black football. In fact, the nickname imperial is a tribute to the bicentennial of the arrival of the Royal Family to Rio de Janeiro (1808-2008). In addition, the team’s training place at that time was Quinta da Boa Vista, that is, the home of the imperial family.
